• When is the deadline for applications?

  The deadline for applications is 1 March each year. The deadline for applications cannot be postponed.

• What are the entry requirements for admission to the Norwegian Police University College?

• Can I work as a police officer in Norway if I have studied policing abroad?

  Norway’s National Police Directorate is responsible for that decision, not the NPUC. You can contact them here.

• Will my overseas upper secondary (high school) qualifications be approved for admission to the Norwegian Police University College?

  Yes, you can apply for admission. Applicants who have attended school abroad may also be admitted to the NPUC if they meet all the entry requirements – including the requirement for a higher education entrance qualification, as well as the minimum grade for Norwegian language proficiency.

  You must document that your qualifications are equivalent to the Norwegian Higher Education Entrance Qualification (generell studiekompetanse). The type of documentation you must submit will depend on the country in which you have obtained your qualifications.

  Applicants with non-Norwegian academic qualifications must also meet the NPUC’s minimum grade requirement for proficiency in Norwegian.
