Background and experience

I study the development and policing of terrorism, political violence, and extremism in liberal democracies. I am also interested in the philosophy of science, research methods, and the intersection between intelligence analysis and science. In addition, I am affiliated with the Center for Research on Extremism (C-REX) at the University of Oslo. At C-REX, I lead the development of the RTV dataset, which documents right-wing terrorism and violence in 19 West-European countries.
