More than ten years have passed since the book Innføring i politivitenskap [Introduction to Police Science] was first published and Nordic Journal of Studies in Policing (then named Nordisk Politiforskning) released its first issue. What has happened in police science since then, and what does the field look like in Nordic countries today?
Since 2023, the Norwegian Police University College has been working with academic partners and police organisations in five European countries to improve communication and efficiency, as well as to strengthen trust between the public and public institutions such as the police, experts from various scientific disciplines, and the courts in the field of digital evidence investigation.

The Norwegian Police University College is hosting a free conference in Oslo, bringing together speakers from across Europe to explore this question from multiple perspectives. Join us for three exciting days of discussion, networking, and forward-looking research.
