You must have internet access to use Zoom. “Zoom Teaching” is a video solution for use in teaching suitable for everything from large lectures to online one-on-one or small group tutoring. “Zoom Meeting” is used for simpler video meetings and chat on all devices.

Read below to learn how you can participate in teaching or a meeting in Zoom.
Participate in teaching or a meeting
Log in to Canvas.
Enter the course and select “Zoom” from the course navigation.
Click on “Start” to enter the meeting or lesson you are going to participate in.
You will be directed to the Zoom website, where you can start the meeting in your browser or app.
If you don't have the Zoom app installed, you can download and install it. Note: Do not fill in the fields for email or password!
The first time you use Zoom in Canvas, you will see a login box. Choose “Sign in with SSO”.
You will be asked for the “Company domain”. If Politihøgskolen (Norwegian Police University College) is not already filled in, type it in and click “Continue”.
Your browser should open a Feide login box. Log in with your Feide username and password.
Zoom will start, and you will be asked to participate in the meeting or lesson. Choose whether to join with or without video.
When the Zoom program starts, choose “Sign in with SSO”.
You will be asked for the “Company domain”. Type in “Politihøgskolen” (Norwegian Police University College) in the field and click on “Continue”.
Log in via Feide with your PHS username and password and click “Log in”.
If any notice appears, you can click “Yes”. Various prompts may appear, such as “Do you want to start Zoom?” or “Run”, depending on the browser you are using.
Click “New Meeting” to start a meeting now or “Schedule” if you want to schedule a future meeting.
Click “Join with Computer Audio”.
Hover your mouse pointer over the Zoom window, and a green shield will appear at the top right corner.
Hover your mouse over the green shield, and you will see “Meeting ID, Invite link, etc”.
Send the “Invite link” to those you want to invite.
When the Zoom program has started, choose “Sign in with SSO”.
You will be asked for the “Company domain”. Type in “Politihøgskolen” (Norwegian Police University College) in the field and click “Continue”.
Log in via Feide with your PHS username and password and click “Log in”.
If any notice appears, you can click “Yes”. There might be various prompts such as “Do you want to start Zoom?” or “Run”, depending on the browser you are using.
Click on “Schedule”.
Enter the desired meeting information, time, meeting name, etc., and click on “Save”.
Send the meeting invitation that appears on the screen to those you want to participate in the meeting.
