Our campuses

We have campuses in Oslo, Bodø, Stavern and Kongsvinger.

The NPUC’s Oslo campus is centrally located in the Majorstuen district, within walking distance of the city centre. At this campus you can take a Bachelor in Police Studies, a Master in Police Science and a number of further and continuing education courses.

Our facilities

Our Oslo campus offers practice apartments, specialised classrooms for the teaching of forensic investigation techniques, a practice police station, a canteen, library, swimming pool, gymnasiums, as well as fitness and weight training facilities. We also have lecture theatres, classrooms and breakout rooms for group work.

Bodø

The NPUC campus in Bodø is located at Mørkved, approx. 8 km east of Bodø city centre. At this campus you can take a Bachelor in Police Studies.

Our facilities

Our Bodø campus offers practice apartments, computer rooms, specialised classrooms for the teaching of forensic investigation techniques,interview rooms, a simulator, a room for practising arrest techniques, a canteen, gym, classrooms and lecture theatres. There are plenty of breakout rooms for group work

Our nearest neighbour is Nord University, with which we collaborate closely. Our students make use of Nord University’s library.

Stavern

The NPUC’s Stavern campus is located at the former Fredriksvern naval base in the centre of Stavern, around 7 km south of Larvik. At this campus, you can take a Bachelor in Police Studies as well as several further and continuing education courses.

Our facilities

We use the facilities afforded by the former Fredriksvern naval base. This includes practice buildings and a dedicated practice street, shooting range, sports halls with gymnastic and weight training facilities, a canteen, lecture theatres, classrooms, breakout rooms for group work and reading rooms.

In addition, we make use of a shooting range and several practice facilities in the local area.

Norway’s National Mobile Police Service and Vestfold Civil Defence District also operate out of the naval base.

Kongsvinger

The NPUC campus in Kongsvinger is located at Sæter Farm, approx. 3 km north of Kongsvinger city centre. At this campus, you can take a number of further and continuing education courses. In addition, bachelor degree students attend operative policing courses here.

Facilities

We have good and flexible facilities for operative training, spread across the campus. In the summer of 2019, we opened a new, up-to-date shooting/training facility. We also have a large hard-top area for driving practice within the campus.

Kongsvinger is also a modern educational centre for the justice sector, with the police service and the directorates as the main users.
