Covert policing

We have established the research group at the Norwegian Police University College to address a gap in research on covert policing—a field marked by secrecy and therefore difficult to study empirically.

About the research group

Our goal is to create a sustainable, interdisciplinary environment that fosters knowledge, collaboration, and development within this underexplored area. We aim to serve as a meeting place for researchers, educators, and practitioners—both nationally and internationally—facilitating dialogue, professional development, and joint projects. A key objective is to map existing research, identify shared interests, and develop new arenas for collaboration across disciplines and borders. We also seek to strengthen the connection between academia and professional practice by contributing to research-based teaching and project development.
