Semester fee and tuition fee for postgraduate students

The semester fee is a mandatory fee that all students must pay. The money goes to your student welfare organization, and you get access to the welfare benefits they offer. You must pay the semester fee to have student status with us and to be able to take exams. If you are taking further education and do not work in the police department, you must also pay a tuition fee.

Studies for 15 credits or more

If you study for 15 credits or more, you must pay a semester fee of NOK 690 each semester. In addition, you must pay a copy fee of NOK 100 each semester.

Tuition fees

Students who are from other Nordic countries, or who are employed in agencies outside the police and sheriff's office, must pay tuition fees. The tuition fee comes in addition to the semester fee and any copyright fee. The tuition fee depends on the number of credits you take and the type of study:

Online lectures

5 credits: NOK 6.000

7,5 credits: NOK 10.000

15 credits: NOK 25.000

Campus lectures

5-10 credits: NOK 15.000

15-20 credits: NOK 25.000

25-30 credits: NOK 40.000

Expenses for accommodation

The tuition fee does not cover accommodation at the The Norwegian Police University College's campuses, so expenses for this are additional.

Exception

For certain programs, there are exceptions to the amount of tuition fees you need to pay. Information about this can be found on the education pages for continuing and further education. Find your program and check the dropdown point "This is the cost of the study".

Payment

You will find the invoice in Studentweb. Even if the employer or another party is to cover the expenses, you yourself are responsible for forwarding the invoice to the person who is to pay and ensuring that it is paid. The payment deadline depends on when the study starts, mainly the invoice will be ready well before the start of the study.
