Semester registration, fees, and student ID
The right to study is dependent on you registering for the semester and paying the semester fee and other fees that the study program imposes on you, within the given deadlines.
Deadlines for semester registration
The deadline for the fall semester is September 1st.
The deadline for the spring semester is February 1st.
All bachelor's and master's students must register on Studentweb each semester. Studentweb is available for semester registration from June 10th (for the fall semester) and December 10th (for the spring semester) each year. You log in to Studentweb with a username and password (FEIDE) or ID-porten.
New students must wait until the beginning of August to start semester registration.
Semester fee, and other fees
The semester fee is a mandatory fee that all students must pay. The money goes to your student welfare organization, and you get access to the welfare benefits they offer. You must pay the semester fee to have student status with us and to be able to take exams. If you receive support from the Student Loan Fund (Lånekassen), you must pay the semester fee to be awarded loans and grants. If you are taking further education and do not work in the police and sheriff's department, you must also pay a tuition fee. The invoices can be found in Studentweb. A receipt for the paid semester fee can be found in the Student ID app.

Semester fee and tuition fee for postgraduate students
Students in our continuing and further education programs must pay the semester fee. Additionally, participants in certain courses and programs must pay a tuition fee.
Admission to study
If you have been admitted to a study program or further education, you receive study rights. To retain your study rights, you must meet certain requirements.
Student ID on App
To get a student ID on the app, download the "Studentbevis" app.
Log in with your username and password.
Username: username@phs.no
Password: the one you created when you activated your user account
A receipt for the paid semester fee can be found in the app (approximately 3-5 days after you have paid).
Do not use your access card as a student ID, as it should only be presented on campus/in educational contexts under the auspices of the Police University College.
You must approve the use of photos on Studentweb for the photo to be visible. If you do not want your photo to be displayed in the app, you must present other valid identification along with the app.
Digitally signed student confirmation
If you need a confirmation that you are a student with us, you can order this yourself in Studentweb.
How to order a digitally signed confirmation of your student status:
- Log in to Studentweb.
- Go to the "More..." tab.
- Go to the menu and click on "Orders".
- Select "Confirmation of student status with digital signature".
- You will find the confirmation in the document archive in Studentweb (also under the "More..." tab).
