Absence from teaching sessions

You are responsible for monitoring your own attendance. Participation in teaching and learning activities may be mandatory, but the allowable level of absence can vary. It is important to be aware of the attendance requirements for your program/course. Excessive absences may result in loss of study right.

Absence from postgraduate and continuing education program/course

If you are enrolled in postgraduate and continuing education programs/courses, you cannot be absent for more than 20% of the study sessions (on campus or digital), regardless of the reason for the absence.

Certain programs/courses or parts of the program/course may require 100% attendance at study sessions. This will be specified in the study plan.

If you are absent from study sessions more than permitted, you will not be eligible to sit for the exam, see Regulations relating to studies and examinations at the Norwegian Police University College § 3-8 (Forskrift om studier og eksamen ved Politihøgskolen)

If you need to be absent from study sessions, you must notify the course leader/instructor who keeps track of your total absence.
