Recognition of education

• What is recognition of education?

  If we grant you a recognition of education or credit transfer for an exam result, etc., it means that we consider it so like what you would have taken at the Norwegian Police University College (in terms of content, scope, and level), that you do not have to take it again here.

  You can apply for credit for subjects, modules, exams or tests you have passed, if you can produce documentation from equivalent educational establishments. You can also apply for exemption from parts of the course based on documented prior relevant education/training.

  Our assessment of whether your education/training can be credited is based on the descriptions of the learning outcomes specified in the course curriculum.

  You must follow the educational program until you have been granted an exemption or been credited for a previous exam.

  Use the separate application form for recognition of education and supporting documentation and send it to postmottak@phs.no

• Application deadline

  You should apply as soon as possible and preferably by 1 of September (autumn) or 1 of February (spring).

Adjustment of the study situation and exams

• Requirements for adjustments

  If you have a disability or special needs, you may be entitled to individual adjustments to the school premises, method of teaching, teaching materials and exams.

  By disability, we mean the loss of, or injury to a body part or bodily functions. By special needs, we mean physical, psychosocial or learning challenges.

  For example, if you can document that you have dyslexia, you may be granted accommodations throughout your period of study at the Norwegian Police University College.

  You cannot be granted adjustments that are so extensive that they would reduce the level of attainment required for the course to which you have been admitted.

  Use the digital form (Nettskjema) to apply for disability-related adjustments.

  Log into Nettskjema with your Feide-user and send your application and supporting documentation to the Norwegian Police University College.
